Matted Pets
For dogs that are extremely matted, an additional fee will be applied to cover the extra time and effort required for grooming. The additional fees for matted dogs are as follows: small dogs will incur an extra $15 charge, medium dogs will have an additional fee of $20, large dogs will be subject to an extra $25 charge, and extra-large dogs will incur an additional fee of $30. These fees are necessary to ensure that we can provide the thorough grooming care needed to address matting effectively and maintain the health and comfort of your pet.
Aggressive Pets
At Furever Grooming, the safety and well-being of both pets and groomers are of utmost importance to us. Therefore, we do not accept aggressive pets or those with a history of biting for grooming services. It is imperative that pet owners inform us if their pet has ever been turned away from another groomer or has displayed signs of aggression such as growling, scratching, snarling, or biting. We consider behaviors like "nipping and snapping" to be equivalent to biting.
In accordance with California Civil Code 3342, pet owners are legally obligated to disclose if their pet has previously bitten a person. Failure to provide this information may result in liability if the pet bites someone at our salon. If a pet exhibits biting behavior during grooming and cannot be safely handled, the owner will be contacted to pick up the pet.
Furthermore, if a pet has sensitivities or fears related to specific grooming procedures such as nail clipping or de-matting, owners must inform us prior to the appointment. This knowledge enables us to take appropriate precautions and tailor the grooming experience to the pet's needs, potentially helping them overcome their fears.
Pets that struggle during grooming are at a higher risk of minor injuries such as nicks or quicked nails, as well as receiving haircuts that may not meet aesthetic standards. While we take every precaution to prevent injuries, pets exhibiting biting or struggling behavior inherently increase the risk of accidents. Therefore, Furever Grooming will not be held liable for these types of injuries or for haircuts that are less than satisfactory.
Right to Refuse Service
For your safety, comfort, and satisfaction, Furever Grooming reserves the right to refuse service at our discretion when necessary. More than anything, we want to ensure you have a great experience at our salon and leave happy with the work we do. Please trust the judgment of our trained professionals.
Quality Satisfaction
We strive for quality satisfaction at our salon. If you are not fully satisfied with the haircut, including nails, please inform us within 72 hours of your grooming appointment. We will gladly arrange for you to return to our salon to address any concerns and ensure that the haircut or nails meet your expectations. Any requests made after the 72-hour period will require scheduling a new appointment for another service.
Emergencies
In the event of an emergency, I hereby authorize this establishment, Furever Grooming, to promptly seek professional veterinary attention for my pet. I understand that every effort will be made to contact me, the owner, in the event of an emergency. However, if I cannot be reached and my pet requires immediate medical attention, I authorize Furever Grooming to transport my pet to a veterinary clinic. I acknowledge that Furever Grooming is not responsible for any incidents or situations that may occur during transportation to the veterinary hospital.
Health
Grooming can be a potentially stressful experience for certain pets. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the pet owner to communicate any health-related conditions such as heart issues, cancer, blindness, anxiety, sanitary infections, flea infestations, or encounters with skunks to the groomer prior to grooming sessions. Additionally, owners are required to provide proof of rabies vaccinations, which will be kept on file by our establishment.
Intact Female Dogs
We do not provide grooming or services for female dogs in heat. To maintain a calm and safe environment in our shop, female dogs must be scheduled for grooming appointments three (3) weeks after coming into heat. This precaution is taken to prevent any disturbances that may arise and to ensure the comfort of all pets, as the presence of female dogs in heat can potentially agitate male dogs, whether neutered or not.
